Constitution is Supreme Law Of India.

Longest written constitution of any sovereign country in the world.

1. The idea to have a constitution was given by  M N ROY(1934).

2. The constitution of India was adopted by the constituent assembly on 26 November 1949.

3. The constitution of India was came into force by the constituent assembly on 26 January 1950.

4. The constituent assembly held it's first meeting on 9 December 1946.(NEW DELHI)

5. Dr sachidanand Sinha was the first President (temporary) of the Indian constituent assembly.

6. After that 11 December 1946 Dr Rajendra prasad elected as a president of Indian constituent assembly.

6. H.C mukherjee elected as vice president of Indian constituent assembly.

7. Dr BR Ambedkar was chairman of drafting committee.

8. Sir BN Rao was appointed as the  constitutional advisor. 

9.On 26 November 1949 Indian Constitution have 395 articles, 22 parts and 8 schedules.

10. On currently 448 articles, 25 parts and 12 schedules.

11. Indian constitution finalise 2 years 11 months and 18 days.

12. On 22 July 1947 the constituent assembly of India has adopted "National flag".

13. On 24 January 1950 the constituent assembly of India has adopted "Jana Gana Mana" as national Anthem (written by Rabindranath Tagore).

14. On 24 January 1950 the constituent assembly of India has adopted "Vande Mataram" as national Song (written by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay).

15. On 26 January 1950 the constituent assembly of India has adopted "National Emblem".

16. On 22 march 1957 the constituent assembly of India has adopted "National Calendar".
